All We Could Say is Sorry in Space

Once upon a time, I knew you,

By not knowing you at all;

To an extent, your yes was my no,

What you were given was subtracted,

From my life as a whole.

For a long time, it may have worked,

Different faces, different places;

As galaxies burned and melted away,

All we could say is sorry in space.

It took a black hole,

Feeding of its target star;

For us realize,

It had gone this far.

I’m sorry to know you,

Without knowing you at all;

Yet I see your face,

And know you understand it all.

You wanted to do it your way,

I wanted my way;

As stars faded away,

All we could say is sorry in space.

Heavens fade,

As faux realities die;

Yet, you and I stand in place,

With all that can be uttered,

Being we are truly sorry for how this went in space.

However,

You will not be taking out the Morning Star.

Amen.
